Letter to LEO

This is a long read, but an excellent one...

“Choose this day whom you will serve”

An Open Letter to American Law Enforcement.

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere

The ceremony of innocence is drowned;

The best lack all conviction, while the worst

Are full of passionate intensity. -- William Butler Yeats, “The Second Coming.”

Gentlemen and Ladies of American Law Enforcement,

There is a growing perception among many Americans that we are headed for one of those periodic moments in our history when our reactions to events will redefine who we are as a people, where we are going as a country and who gets to call the shots when we get there - what George H.W. Bush called “that vision thing.” This is happening in the middle of unprecedented external and internal stresses on our social order, the results of which you see daily on the streets.

It is going to get worse.

Odds are, it is going to get MUCH worse before it gets better.

IF it gets better any time soon, which I doubt.

And so, ladies and gentlemen of American law enforcement, the prudent among you should be considering this question now, rather than later: “What am I going to do when we get to "much worse?”

Consider first where we are.

The Justice Department's National Gang Intelligence Center estimated last year that there were over a million hard-core gang members in this country who were responsible for over 80% of the crimes. Other experts have suggested that when you add in the gangs’ “extended families” and wannabes, the number is closer to between five and ten million. As unemployment has increased, their numbers have likewise swelled.

But the gangs, as bad as they are and as great a threat as they pose to public order, are nothing compared to the larger problem, and that is this:

Respect for duly constituted authority and social trust are essential ingredients of civilization. These elements represent the basic glue of society.

Respect for duly constituted authority is, as every cop knows, at an all-time low. There are two general reasons for this, one systemic and the other so personal that if you look yourselves honestly in the mirror you can see it.

Systemically, “duly constituted authority” derives its legitimacy from the founding documents of our country, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and from the Founders’ concepts of the rule of law. These have all been under attack for a hundred years or more by both corrupt political parties and their union and business familiars. The Constitution has become for some a joke and for others inconvenient speed bump on the road to tyranny. As long as this degradation of the legitimacy of our political and legal system was perceived by a narrow portion of the population, it was manageable in a societal sense.

This is no longer true.

When a president and Congress robs one set of people to enrich their cronies, when they violate the settled rule of law regarding bankruptcy to stiff secured creditors in the case of General Motors while rewarding anointed unsecured creditors - their political allies, the auto unions - the rest of the population cannot fail but conclude that we are no longer under the rule of law, but the rule of men, which is to say, the law of the jungle. Or, put another way, they - "the authorities” - can do anything that the citizenry can’t or won’t stop them from doing. This is the societal Catch 22 we are now in (and have been for a while) that I call “Waco Rules.”

Other cases such as that of David Olofson, a veteran and marksmanship instructor and family man who was railroaded by the ATF on an automatic weapons charge when his semi-automatic AR-15 malfunctioned, and he was chosen for prosecution simply because the ATF did not care for his low opinion of them; have convinced many that a fair trial is no longer possible in federal court if an agency decides to “deal with” them. And if we are no longer guaranteed a fair trial in the federal court system; then if we are innocent and decide that we do not wish to play drop the soap with either the Aryan or Muslim Brotherhoods, our only guarantee is the right of an unfair gunfight when the ATF comes calling.

Remember that Olofson is merely one example of federal misadventure. There are many others, as there are plenty of similar cases in local and state jurisdictions. When the law-abiding rightfully no longer trust the law enforcers and begin to view them as a class of criminals merely acting under color of law, anarchy is not far away.

Yet, you will say, “don’t blame me, I enforce the law, I don’t make it.” True, but insufficient as an excuse, and here we get down to that look in the mirror.

My friend and fellow gun rights bloger David Codrea over at WaronGuns has a description for feral cops. He calls them the “Only Ones.” His daily blog is filled to overflowing with example of rogue cops, their partners who never rein them in and the prosecutors and judges who find reasons to go easy on even the most heinous of criminals with badges. You know who I’m talking about. If you say there are none of these currently operating or in the making within your department then you are either lying or uninterested in seeing the truth, which amounts to the same thing.

Everyone knows what happens to honest cops who “rat out” their uniformed criminal associates. They are hounded, despised, disciplined and shunned -- and that’s on a good day. Can you blame many of us who pay attention to such law enforcement corruption for concluding that you may merely be a member of an “official gang” as opposed to a freelance one?

Such dereliction of duty begs the question: If your excuse is that you don’t make the law, you just enforce it, and then you don’t enforce it upon yourselves, why should we be paying tax dollars to support “official” law breaking?

There is another image that many of you can see in the mirror if you choose to take an honest look - that of tax collector and nanny state bully boy. Yes, we know, you didn’t make the laws, some liberal puke with a control fetish did. But when you write speeding tickets for 3 miles over the limit because you’ve been told to write “x amount” of dollar value or when you pull people over for “seatbelt violations” at random roadblocks and then ransack their cars without probable cause, can you understand how such behavior eats away like acid on your reputation, both individually and collectively, as servants of the citizenry? What part of “to protect and serve” does that represent?

But worse than all that is the militarization of the police - in equipment, tactics and, worst of all, attitude - and the federalization of all law enforcement over the past forty years, but especially in the last ten. There were, last time I checked a few years ago, something like 750,000 full time state, city, university and college, metropolitan and Non-metropolitan County, and other law enforcement officers in the United States. Add to that another 150,000 or so full time law enforcement personnel working for the federal government. With the growth of new agencies like the TSA during the “war on terror” (who, because of political correctness can’t seem to figure out who the real “terrorists” are so they merely oppress the rest of us in order to be “fair”) that number has certainly risen.

In any case, there are hardly enough Feds to work the administration’s will upon a nation so vast and a people so numerous, so much thought and effort has gone into suborning and subverting local and state law enforcement for federal purposes - “Joint Task Forces” and “fusion centers” being two principal ways. Yet, as the Founders quite clearly understood, it is one of the duties of local law enforcement, especially the county sheriffs, to interpose themselves between the federal government and the people of their jurisdictions when the federal government becomes oppressive.

Now, however, local law enforcement is looked upon by federal agents as force multipliers and willing stooges - “local yokels” in their parlance. And as a mark of how successful their campaign has been, many local law enforcement officers agree and happily lick the boots that kick them.

A recent case in point: Two county sheriff’s deputies showed up at the doorstep of a man out west who had expressed his contempt for Nancy Pelosi and other federal politicians in letters and emails. These deputies, saying that the FBI had sent them, interrogated the man, threatened him “with Leavenworth” and engaged in intimidation of political speech. These local cops, having no jurisdiction to do anything of the sort, would have been laughed off of my porch here in Alabama and told to bugger off and return with real federal cops, if that was in fact their intention.

Too often these days, when the federal man says “frog” many of you merely ask “how high?”

Of course, if this intimidation had back-fired on the locals in any way, the Fibbies would have been the first to disavow them, leaving them hanging out in the legal laundry to dry. So when y’all are looking in that mirror, ask yourselves how truly stupid you actually are when it comes to enforcing an agenda and not the law just because the Feds ask you to.

Here’s the essential thing: you, ALL OF YOU, took an oath to, among other things, “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” You swore that, the overwhelming majority of you, to God. Did you think that oath had a shelf life? Do you think that now that you have by your reckoning faithfully upheld that oath for, say, twenty years now that tomorrow it is okay to forget it? You swore, whether you realized it at the time or not, an OATH, before GOD, and it was a LIFETIME oath.

While you are looking in the mirror, evaluate your career based upon that oath. It was not to a man, or an administration or a political party but to an idea -- the idea of ordered liberty as codified in the Constitution of the United States of America. So ask yourself, did you or did you not intend to faithfully uphold that oath? Because the answer to that question is going to become very important very quickly as this politically divided and morally fractured society continues to spin out of control.

To quote Joshua, “Choose this day whom you will serve.”

Katrina showed us many things. It showed that in a disaster many cops will look to their families and not the public duty, leaving their fellow law enforcement officers with an even greater burden. It showed us that cops can be opportunistic criminals as well, partaking in looting with as much energy as professional criminals. It also showed us that the police no longer trust the law-abiding citizen with arms, depriving them of their only means of self-defense once the cops have moved on, leaving them to the tender mercies of robbers, rapists and murderers.

It is perhaps dangerous to make too large of a generalization, for there are many rural jurisdictions where this still does apply, but the fact of the matter is that by and large, the police no longer trust the people they are supposed to protect, and they especially do not trust an armed citizen, even if he represents no danger to the cop. This is standing the oath on its head. The people do not exist to serve the servant, but rather the other way around.

When a policeman pulls over a driver whose computer record shows not only the driver’s license of the vehicle’s owner, but the fact that they have a concealed carry permit, it is too often SOP for the cop to approach the vehicle, gun drawn, order the man or woman from the car, put them on their knees and cuff them before anything else transpires. These are not the acts of public servants but rather of an occupying army. And with each breach of trust, the glue holding society together is further weakened. For the more you distrust us, the more we are reminded to distrust you.

It is important to remember, Mr. and Ms. Law Enforcement Officer, that you need us, the law-abiding armed citizenry, one hell of a lot more than we need you. Just ask any criminal. Who is it that they fear most? The encounter with a policeman or a would-be victim who turns out to be armed? I tell you this uncomfortable truth and I hope you have the honesty to admit it -- the criminals of this country are far more scared of the armed citizenry than they are of the police.

It is not the fear of the patrol car that inhibits criminal behavior the most, but rather the prospect of screwing up and getting his brains blown out by a citizen in righteous self defense. And so, when you participate in citizen disarmament efforts, whether gun seizures like Katrina or merely identifying otherwise friendly peaceable folks as “the enemy” just because they are armed, you are alienating your most valuable friends and empowering your most vicious enemies. Not to mention the fact that you are violating that sacred oath you took.

So ponder that deteriorating social trust that holds civilizations together, and then ponder this: the worst is yet to come.

What will happen when we are faced, God forbid, with some dislocating national disaster -- natural or man-made -- that makes Katrina look like a kindergarten playground? Now, even if you intend to run off like some New Orleans policemen did to see to the safety of their families rather than keep order in the city, you are still going to need the cooperation of the armed citizenry in your home neighborhood to protect your family.

You -- ALL of you -- law enforcement officers, will then need us, the armed citizenry -- ALL of us willing and competent to muster -- to defend public order against the tide of chaos represented by five or ten million gang members and the tens of millions of panicked unprepared refugees or opportunistic criminals left unrestrained by a breakdown.

Do you seriously think that federal police, all 150,000 of them, will actually help you in that event, beyond issuing orders that they will not be personally endangered with carrying out?

You will then be on your own, and you will have us. At least those of you will who have the sense to plan now to make that happen in the event.

You might start by remembering your oaths, by beginning to trust us, by refusing to engage in petty harassments of CCW permit holders and by strengthening your department’s auxiliary program (or starting one if you do not have one).

But first and foremost you must quit looking at and treating the law-abiding armed citizenry of the United States as the enemy. For if you don’t, we certainly will be.

Convince us by your actions that you are no better than the gangs who commit crimes without uniforms and we will treat you similarly. And there aren’t nearly enough of you to shove us around in a real national emergency.

Remember, Americans are nothing if not a practical people. We're predisposed to help and support you. Please, take our hand when it is offered, BEFORE it is needed.

Sincerely,

Mike Vanderboegh

Community survival

We have often heard about topics like self sufficiency, and protecting your goods and property, in this blog I will discuss ways to even secure you survive better by working with your neighbors. Everyone should have 3 months supply of water, dry goods as well as canned and don’t forget a manual can opener. The one thing often forgotten about is heat, what will you do if there is no power in the cold months? Look into some bottled heaters that can be used inside giving at least one room in your house comfort for the family. I live in Florida so heating is not to much of a concern but we do get some cold nights in the winter so it is good to have a little something to keep you warm other than your sleeping bag. It is fairly easy with a water well and septic system to get good clean drinking water by simply hooking up a generator to the well system, but remember to have plenty of fuel to run the generator. If you have plenty of storage containers for water you will only have to run the generator 30 minutes or so a day to keep the toilets clean and water supply full.

Now let’s get back to working with your neighbors, it’s nice to have your own garden that you can work and can your goods for future use, and are fairly easy to defend especially if it is behind a privacy fence no one will know you have it. But what about your neighbors? In my area I have a lot of seniors who simply will struggle with there own survival, here is how you can help each other out, first get organized, knowing who your neighbors are is the first step, ask them what plans if any have they made in a worse case scenario, they may or may not be able to help with physical work but they sure can hold a gun and be a show of force from outsiders. If there is a vacant lot in your neighborhood look for the owner and ask them if you can use this land for a community garden, most will say sure since it helps keep there unused space clean and free of debris, but also make sure that ever one signs an agreement that in case of injury you can not sue the owner.

Now this is a great way to get the seniors involved they love to garden, and everyone can take turns working it, all those whom contribute their time and energy of course has free pickings as the garden produces, and because the community is involved they will help defend it from outsiders. In times of trouble this area can easily be protect from outsiders, and people in groups of 10 at a time should be on duty around the clock for this peace of land will become the life force for your colony. Some places may need more than one lot depending on the size of your area, I am lucky we have a section of land in the middle of our development that is made up of several lots all together surrounded by trees making a natural fence from prying eyes. There are also abandoned or foreclosed buildings in the area, keep and eye on these properties for they can be used in times of trouble for meeting places and storage of goods, a make shift hospital and many more ideas. Keep in mind as well, that you only want your small neighborhood to be involved, we don’t want people coming from all over town, and you want to keep your location of the community garden secret from all outsiders. Working together setting up patrols and keeping and eye on each other will help you all get through a troubled time. Start a community forum web site, one that is password protected to stay in touch with others in your little section as well as setting up schedules for meetings and crop gatherings canning, patrols and each others health. Another great thing the seniors in your area can help with besides there vast knowledge on how to due different things, is they can run the radio’s, yes ham radio operations is a must to keep in contact with the outside world. I can almost guarantee you some one in your community most likely a senior has a setup and is well versed in its operations. Make sure every one has input on all topics, elect leaders for each department from the growing to the canning, patrols and radio operations. These will be the people that everyone can trust and rely on. Make sure you have plenty of ammo as well and hope you never have to use it, set up hunting parties for game, we have a lot of large farms in the area make a deal with them for meats on trade, do unto others, do not steal someone else’s goods, always barter for them. Remember also your labor is something you can barter with, help them for a day in there fields for meat or eggs or what ever they may have, working together is the key to any survival situation.

One of the biggest things forgotten (services) everyone maybe of a different denomination, that’s ok, but now you have become a community and a non denomination setting is required, not your typical kind of service but a time were everyone gathers to give thanks to God, a time to discuss problems that need to be address within your community, be it rescheduling of certain jobs or getting updates from the radio outpost, or just to all sit together for a meal. In almost all situation you will want to have your main meal together everyday, as the field is being worked and sharing the resources for cooking and cleaning, yes it is time to get back to the thought of the original colonies, working together as a whole and putting aside your differences, for now you have become a small colony yourself. Working together to survive increases your chance of that survival a thousand times. Remember a persons mind and their ability to reason out a situation is as important if not more so than the physical abilities one might posses. Our seniors have great wisdom, they have been through this before, be it the depression, or in combat their wisdom is a wealth of information just waiting to be tapped.

First place to start is the web site, get the forum up and running, get the word out about the site to your neighbors and then work together to find the perfect place in your small section for the garden and get to work.

We all have family and friends from all over, let them know what you are doing so they can start one in there area, if the time comes and they are not set up and ready to handle the situation but are able to get to your neighborhood that is great and this becomes another use for those building that are vacant. But remember to ask the rest of the colony before just assuming they will be allowed to stay. After all your colony has done the work and many may not want outsiders even if they are family, so make it clear in the beginning with your elected people, and have a vote as to weather outsiders even family will be welcomed under the guise that they are coming to contribute their labor and are willing to adhere to the laws of your colony. These laws mind you should first be that of our Constitution, and second the moral laws passed down to Moses. The best manageable size for any colony is around 200 to 300 people. Any more would become difficult to maintain.

Remember these are just some examples of the things we can do to better survive in troubled times there are many web sites and programs, (BTR) www.blogtalkradio.com has great ideas and many programs to cover all topics of survival, the better informed you are the better your chances. For those interested in survival on the water look up my SE1 project articles with ideas and ways to survive at sea.

Good luck to us all and may God Bless you and your family everyday Amen.

The end of the Eastern Sea Board

War has been declared on Florida
And other Gulf States

The end of the Eastern Sea Board

First we had the TSA working the airports around the United States and now they have joined up with what is now known as VIPER. The TSA and VIPER squad set up at a local Florida bus station of Grey Hound doing the exact same thing as they are doing at the airports but have also added a police dog to sniff all cargo on the bus.

There is a reason why this team has been put together, and is becoming more visual, they are doing this in an on going training of themselves and the general public because in a very short time the state of Florida and most of the eastern sea board will be no more as we now know it.

Time is running out for all of us, I as well as thousand of others have just been sentenced to death by big money. Whether it was intentional or not makes no difference at this point. The oil rig disaster in the Gulf when all the numbers are in will make 911 look like a parking lot fender bender. There are in fact two well heads that blew, not just one as the public was lead to believe and this information is available at BPs own website.

They drilled into what is known as the batholith, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batholith this has created a chain reaction and is the possible cause of all the volcanic activity around the globe. And the sudden appearance of the new fault now named the Madrid Fault system; there has also been a discovery of nearly 50 new California Faults as well.

This drilling has caused an opening of and under sea volcano plume that now exceeds some 20 miles in length 6ft wide and its total depth is unknown at this time. BP can not stop this plume and its expanse, if it where to reach the continental shelf would surly be the end of the United States. At last estimate it will take not one not two but 6 nukes to close and hopefully seal permanently this fracture now in the crust of the ocean floor.

We have all heard about corexit 9500 is outlawed in almost all other countries around the globe, but again this is only a small part of the puzzle. The under surface lake of oil is now covering over 40 percent of the Gulf. But again many people have spoken out about this and I will not cover it in much detail here.

Another peace of this puzzle is the remaining 45 percent of the oil spill that know one is talking about; this plume is not only releasing oil but is as well releasing natural gases and massive hydrocarbons. This is the peace they have hidden in the corner as it were.

A report from the EPA has listed just a couple of these issues as they are testing for Volatile organic compounds in the air, and this is what is causing all the illnesses around Gulf States. As per the report the numbers are as follows.

Hydrogen Sulfide normal limits are 5/10 parts per billion the current air readings are showing 1200 ppb.
Benzene normal safe limits 0/4 ppb, currently reading 3000 ppb yes three thousand.
Methylene Chloride safe limits 61 ppb current readings are between 3000/3400.

VOC are Benzene or swamp gas and hydro carbons you can get a simple blood tests at your doctors to see exactly how much you been exposed to at this time. But I say it is too late. The long term affects of these gases in the air and now in our systems are scary and I encourage you to look them up for the medical problems YOU will suffer from in the future if you are not currently showing symptoms of these deadly gasses.

There is another unseen problem and why they must nuke this thing now. If the casing around the wells implode on it self, there will follow and under water volcanic eruption at minimum energy this will cause a 20 to 80 foot wave, a tsunami that will in fact wipe the state of Florida off the map. Whether this happens or not Louisiana is in worse medical condition then the rest of the world. At the last reading of main site temperatures it has increased 7 degrees now that might not seem like a lot, but when you take into fact that 2 degree increase was once considered a dangerous event. Killing off deep sea organisms creating a missing link in the natural food chain.

The oil plume is expected to hit the coast of North Caroline some time in the next few hours, as this oil has now been swept up by the gulf stream, it is estimated that by November of next year 1/3 of our water ways in the United States will be contaminated.

With the warm weather we still have in Florida the evaporation rate is now a factor in all of this, the clouds have now carried the contaminants across the state and we are now feeling the affects of this far inland. The clouds are of a dark color as if they are filled with oil instead of water, and the so called Acid Rain is showing up as far north as Maryland. This is no longer a Gulf disaster, but a national disaster.

When, not if we get hit with a hurricane in the Gulf it will be the end of America, the storm will carry with it, oil, dispersant, hazardous gasses and God knows what else as it travels. Now add the possibility of nuclear fall out radiation in the water if they go down that path to try and close this fault on our ocean floor. There is no place to run or hide from this, anyone with a compromised immune system will more than likely suffer the most. Those that do survive may face the fact that there offspring will be deformed or still born. This is not going away no matter what they say or what they try to distract us with, we are at war make no doubt about that a was we did not ask for nor a war none of us every expected to see in our lifetimes. This war is no longer against BP or our government but our new enemy is the very plant we live on and this is one war no human being can fight, but some might survive.

I can only pray that those that are left behind to survive will remember these final days, and respect mother earth as the natives of this land has done for eons before we ventured to this land America, soon to be knows as the land that once was. May God show mercy and forgiveness since we truly undeserved such love, it is so written in our bibles and tales of old that this will come, and I say our wait is over. And soon we will be facing our heavenly father.

I will stay on air as long as possible, they have seized parts of the internet and flood us daily with none sense news all in order to maintain some kind of control before the masses wake up and realize the real trouble we are in, the fema camps are currently being set up to help stay off the panic that is bound to pursue. We must not fight amongst each other for we are now all in the same boat, and there is plenty of blame to go around, I personally am already feeling the affects of the toxins in the air with a steady cough and a major drop in energy levels and it could be only a matter of time before my lungs begin to bleed, that is what this toxin does to you, it will cause bleeding from within and then externally, bleeding that will not clot, they are trying a wide range of antibiotics to help fight off the effects but I feel these efforts will be in vain, Armageddon is here folks so get right with God why you still have a chance.

I purposely did not list all the affects of these toxins now air born on the eastern sea board if you want to know just look them up in any dictionary or online. I don’t want you to panic, most will try to travel north to get away from this, but the ocean volcano will also trigger off the new faults in central America and could possible reach Yellow Stone itself. The only chance you might have at this point is to get into Canada and away from the coast line as soon as possible. The colder the weather the better chance you have against this and it is my belief that we are on the edge of a new ice age with all the toxins in the air blocking out the sun and the officials spraying our air with heavy metals like nickel and aluminum sending even more of the heat back up and out of our atmosphere. As these toxins build in the water systems it is depleting the oxygen levels of the area so now even the natural microbes as well as they ones they have added to help consume the oils are starting to slow down and will eventually suffocate to death, putting an end to yet another link in the food chain.

I think the Mayan calendar might have been a little off, and if not this folks is just the beginning of the end as we have come to know it. Post all you can on the net or in journals about yourself and the events that have lead up to this day so our children may one day find and read about it from your view point. I have already written several letters to my children and have stored them in several locations so they know how much I love them along with instruction on how to survive in a wilderness community without power, how to make power from wind and solar and other information I thought that might help them. And most of all a copy of our founding fathers Constitution so that one day the American dream and the seed of Liberty will once again be planted on some land some where on planet earth.
If by some miracle the human race does make it through this mess and I am sure some will as we have in any time of history even the great flood a family was saved, I pray that they do not follow in our footsteps. I will leave you to your own demons to make the best of these final days get right with your kids and your family and most of all get right with GOD.
